The Web Tax, i.e. the obligation for Italian companies to purchase online advertising ONLY from subjects with an Italian VAT number and ONLY with bank transfer (NO to Credit Cards) is about to be discussed in the Senate and if it were to be approved and applied it would have consequences DISASTROUS on the economy of the already harassed Small and Medium-sized Italian businesses, as well as forcing the immediate closure of all those activities... the_petition_against_the_''web_tax''_of_the_pd_has_started____you_sign_it_too_ ... who work in the field of online advertising with Google AdWords, Facebook and other international entities. There is talk of tens of thousands of people who would lose their jobs overnight. Buying advertising on Google would become ILLEGAL only for ITALY, while the rest of Europe could continue to do so easily.
We would be cut off from the ONLY GROWING Brazil Phone Number MARKET, which is the internet. This site, for example, would be forced to CLOSE like every other site where you see Google ads scrolling. There is currently NO online service in Italy that can even remotely replace Google or Facebook in terms of quality, efficiency and reduced costs. But politicians don't know this. Or they know it very well and want to cause enormous damage intentionally. Furthermore, there would be an immediate drop in the taxes paid from our revenues to the State which would be forced, to make up for the loss, to raise taxes somewhere else! Furthermore, this law violates the free trade treaties of the European Union, is illegal because it was not notified to Brussels and exposes Italy to certain sanctions. Or, for a change, other taxes! An incomprehensible and unprecedented stupidity. Which is truly jaw-dropping.
There is an online petition to sign on the ''Change.org'' website and we ask anyone who reads this article and who cares about plurality of information, the safeguarding of the jobs of those who work in the online advertising sector and the saving what little well-being he has left such as the ability to make purchases with a credit card on Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Booking.com, Expedia, Rayanair and so on and so forth, to sign without hesitation. Here is the link to stop this madness: Petition to eliminate the Web Tax ยป Here is the full text reported on the famous international petition portal: --- No to #webtax. Italian companies cannot be isolated from the world. I ask you to withdraw the #webtax and refer the problem to the European level, where a more organic, legitimate and non-penalizing solution for Italian SMEs can be found.
